What may seem like black magic of financing and investment is unraveled in this critical track for the future of energy innovation surrounding Smart Grid. Three leading experts in various stages of investments will map the path from the earliest stages of concepts to eventual liquidity.
Nat Goldhaber - Session leader Managing Director Claremont Creek Ventures | |
Claremont Creek Ventures (CCV), is a seed and early stage venture firm known for turbocharging the uncommon startup. It is based in the East Bay of San Francisco and its proximity to University of California Berkeley( UCB) is one of the reasons for its success. The firm funds exciting innovative technologies--many of them started at UCB-- that are now promising companies in CCV’s portfolio. Two of these companies are Adura Technologies and Alphabet Energy and their Founders are on the panel. Mentoring promising entrepreneurs while in the university setting is a significant aspect of a CCV Managing Director’s job. In this panel Nat Goldhaber of CCV will discuss the benefits of Venture Capital-University collaborations, and also ensure that the Director of the Lester Center for Entrepreneurship at UCB’s Haas School of Business has the opportunity to explain how successful partnerships work with such firms as Claremont Creek Ventures.
